Tent Peak Climb Itinerary

  • Day 01 Pick up in Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel.

    On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, where you will be warmly received by our guides and staff with garland and then transfer you to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu city, after getting refreshed join in with other members of Tent Peak Climb and Annapurna Base Camp Trekking where our guide will brief you with information regarding trekking, do’s and don’ts, Nepalese culture, lodge on route trek with full information to make your stay with us enjoyable and memorable, evening welcome dinner at typical Nepalese restaurant with folk-cultural program as entertainment during dinner.       

  • Day 02 Kathmandu with sightseeing tour and trek briefing with preparations.

    Morning after breakfast at given time for sightseeing tour, our city guides will meet you at the hotel for interesting sightseeing tour leading you in the heart of Kathmandu at old Durbar (palace) square of great historical importance includes Temple of Kumari (Living young virgin Goddess) Kastamandap Temple where Kathmandu name derived from, a temple built with the wood of a single tree, tour of old palace during the reign of Malla and late Shah kings.

    Tour leads to famous landmark of Nepal at Swayambhunath Stupa of more than 2,500 years old a Buddhist Chaitya or Stupa with all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha.

    Afternoon visit holy Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath adorned with silver doors and golden tiers roofed pagoda a popular and famous temple where thousands of pilgrims visits every year in the month of February on Shiva Rartri (Lord Shiva birth anniversary). From Pashupatinath a short drive to Bouddhanath with Asia’s largest domed Stupa with four cardinals eyes of Buddha surrounded with prayer wheels and small market with interesting stores, shops and restaurants, the place is also known as Little Tibet due to strong hold of Tibetan influenced tribe and peoples.

    After an interesting and exciting tour of world heritage sites return back to hotel for Tent Peak Climb and Annapurna Base Camp Trekking preparation and last minute briefing from our guides and staff.

  • Day 03 Fly to Pokhara with short drive and trek to Ghandruk 1,940 m -04 hrs.

    Morning depart from the hotel for short drive to Kathmandu domestic airport where a scenic 30 minutes flight takes you to Pokhara, during flight amazing views of Langtang-Ganesh Himal with Manaslu and Annapurna Himalaya.

    As the plane lands at beautiful Pokhara surrounded with rolling green hills and Annapurna Himalaya, and then two hours exciting drive leads you further west to reach at Nayapul with awesome panorama of Annapurna and Manaslu Himalaya during the drive.

    On reaching at Nayapul following the Modi River to lovely village of Bhirethati heading north on gradual trail for few hours past farm villages and terraced fields and then a steep climb on stone paved steps to reach a large and interesting Gurung village at Ghandruk for overnight stop with views of Annapurna South, Huinchuli and tips of Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’.     

  • Day 04 Trek to Chomrong 2,340 m - 05 hrs.

    After Ghandruk village morning walk leads to a short climb above the village and then a pleasant walk into forested area for a while and then a climb of 45 minutes leads atop Kimrong village, perched on a ridge top with few teahouses and lodge, from here an easy descend through cool forest to reach at Kimrong valley, from here an uphill climb for another few hours all the way to the top of Chomrong village, a short downhill walk brings you at Chomrong village for overnight stop, this is the last permanent Gurung village and the gateway to Annapurna Sanctuary and Base Camp trekking. 

  • Day 05 Trek from Chomrong to Dovan 2,630 m - 06 hrs.

    From Chomrong morning walk with short downhill over terraced farm fields to reach at Chomrong river, after crossing the bridge an uphill for an hour to Sinuwa-Danda a small spot with few lodges offering great views of the surrounding landscapes and rolling green hills, from this place walking through cool dense forest till a place called Bamboo is reached, located by the Modi River in the middle of bamboo, rhododendron and oaks forest. From here an hour walk on the gradual up trail to Dovan for overnight stop, situated in the middle of forest Modi River gorge.

  • Day 06 Trek to Deurali 3,230 m - 04 hrs.

    Here onward air gets cooler and fresher entering towards Annapurna Sanctuary and Base Camp, walk leads on gradual winding path with gentle ups to Himalaya Hotel located near a large Hinko Cave at 3,160 m high, right beneath the peak of Hiunchuli, from here walk on glacier and moraine sections from the old avalanches.

    After crossing a small bridge a short climb to reach our lunch and overnight stop at Deurali the last lodge before Machhapuchare Base Camp with afternoon time to explore the area with short walks around the Modi River gorge.

  • Day 07 Trek to MBC 3,700 m (Machhapuchare Base Camp) - 04 hrs.

    After a pleasant overnight stop at Deurali from here onward vegetation and tree lines drops for high altitude alpine bushes and shrubs, our route climbs following raging Modi river upstream right up to its source at base camp, walk gets better in some sections and then with last steep climb to reaching at Machhapuchare Base Camp for overnight stay. This place with few good lodges located beneath North Face of Mt. Machhapuchare.

    Here onward into Annapurna Sanctuary, afternoon relax or short excursion around this tranquil wilderness with views of Annapurna South-Huinchuli, Singu Chuli / Fluted peak as well Annapurna I with Vara Shikar (Annapurna Fang) towards North West.

  • Day 08 Trek to ABC 4,130 m (Annapurna Base Camp) - 03 hrs.

    With wonderful morning views of Annapurna mountain range, today a short walk up to base camp, our morning trek leads on a grassy hill slopes to reach higher level ground as the walk advance towards Annapurna Base Camp, with stunning views of Annapurna peaks that encircles the sanctuary facing toward giant wall of Mt. Annapurna I.

    After a good scenic walk reaching at Annapurna Base Camp a magnificent spot with few large lodges, offering tremendous and awesome scenery of snowcapped peaks that encircles lovely spot at base camp, afternoon at leisure to enjoy the mountain views.

    Annapurna area was first explored by the British Adventure Col. James O.M. 'Jimmy' Roberts in the year 1956 and exposed to the world as the 'Sanctuary of Gods'. The Sanctuary has been christened as "Annapurna Sanctuary" ever since.

  • Day 09 Rest day for acclimatization at Annapurna Base Camp.

    Rest day for acclimatization and preparation for Tent peak or Tharpu Chuli climb, where our guide will provide instruction with climbing techniques and skills, rest of the day relax and enjoy the sweeping views of high peaks that surround you.

  • Day 10 Trek to Tent peak Base Camp 4,450 m / 14,600 ft - 05 hrs.

    From Annapurna Base Camp, our route heads across snow-covered moraine rocky path and towards icy trail for an hour reaching at Annapurna south glacier.

    Walk with short climb offers excellent views of Tent peak with other high mountains, after few hours of good trek reaching a flat ground to set our base camp with first night camping, afternoon free for climbing preparation.

  • Day 11 Trek to High Camp 5,200 m / 17,056 ft - 04 hrs.

    Adding an extra camp makes the climb much better and accessible to reach the summit top, from base camp heading further with steep climb over rock and glacier with lot of boulders, climb continues reaching high camp at 5,200 meters high, afternoon free preparation for next morning summit bid.

  • Day 12 Climb Tent Peak summit and return to Base Camp - 06 hrs.

    Our goal and high lights on this Big Day! Starting early morning climbing over steep snow slope with some technical section to reach on top of the summit; where our expert guide will fix ropes on necessary section of the climb to make it safe to reach the summit, after a tough and hard climb reaching at the top feeling in high spirit with amazing views that surrounds the summit. After a great time on top with awesome scenery descend back safely to base camp.

  • Day 13 Trek back to Annapurna Base Camp - 05 hrs.

    From Tent Peak base camp after breakfast and cleaning up the base camp walk leads back at Annapurna Base Camp on a icy trail, a normal moderate walk of about five hours to overnight stop at Annapurna base camp in the comfort of nice lodge.

  • Day 14 Trek from ABC to Bamboo 2,345 m - 06 hrs.

    After a great and enjoyable time at Annapurna Base Camp and the sanctuary, a long walk downhill to lower areas as the morning leads to a descend to Deurali past Machhapuchare Base Camp, then with few short ups and down following a gradual winding trail back into green forested area to Bamboo for the overnight stay.

    A nice and pleasant spot a temporary settlement with lodges to cater the needs of the trekkers located by the Modi River in a gorge within green bamboo and rhododendron forest.

  • Day 15 Trek to Jhinu village 1,780m with Hot Spring - 06 hrs.

    From Bamboo a short steep climb up to Khuldi Ghar, then on winding downhill path into dense forest to Sinuwa-Danda, and then our walk descends to Chomrong khola. After crossing the bridge an uphill walk for less than an hour to reach at Chomrong village for short rest or lunch stop, after Chomrong a short up for half hour reaching at the top of Chomrong ridge, from here our route descends to Jhinu-Danda for overnight stay, this place offers refreshing hot springs just 20 minutes’ walk downhill near Modi river.

  • Day 16 Trek back to Nayapul 1,010 m - 04 hrs and drive to Pokhara 860 m - 02 hrs.

    After a pleasant overnight at Jhinu enjoying refreshing hot-spring, morning leads to a long descends all the way to Bhirethati along the bank of Modi Khola, as the walk leads past small forested areas and rice terraces, waterfalls within warm and green landscapes. Bhirethati, one of the attractive small villages around Annapurna Himalaya at present nearly turning into a town with many good lodges, shops.

    From here walk for twenty minutes on a gradual path to Nayapul (New Bridge) From Nayapul board on a vehicle for the drive back to Pokhara, concluding this wonderful trip on a famous tourist spot at Pokhara by the lake Phewa.

  • Day 17 From Pokhara drive to Kathmandu 1,345 m - 06hrs.

    After a wonderful time in the high mountains and hills, taking a morning driving journey back to Kathmandu, on reaching Kathmandu after 5-6 hours of nice interesting drive, transfer to respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure or last day shopping souvenirs and handicrafts.

    (Options by air 30 minutes flight back to Kathmandu with great views)

  • Day 18 International Departure for Homeward bound.

    Last day in Nepal in the land of great Himalayan wonders with fascinating culture, after a memorable Tent Peak Climb and on scenic Annapurna Base Camp Trekking with awesome wonderful experience, as per your international flight time our staff transfers you to airport for the flight back home or to respective countries.
